Hi, we have solar powered station with 12V solar panels and 3A maximum available from the solar.
We need to power security cameras, but they need 24V AC.
Had anyone had experience with INV1224-60Hz and solar apps?
Is it worth to try?
Any cheaper higher power and cheaper alternative like INV1224-100W-60Hz?

Every solar panel has range of voltages. You need to be careful about that. For example if your "12V" solar panel is designed to give up to 22V not loaded (when nothing is connected) then you might get in trouble if your battery connected to this solar is failing or if you are not using any battery at all OR if connection to the battery is corroded. By the way the corrosion on Lead Acids are very common thing. Imagine if this 22 volts are connected to converter or inverter, which has 11 to 18V working area..... Не понял
INV1224 designed to work between 11 and 15 volts. If you put 22V to it it might not be so happy...Also it doesn't like to stay on the low side of input voltages.
